Under spiritual law, the soul is obligated to suffer the consequences of a curse as a contractual limitation from lifetime to lifetime until they learn their lessons and the errors of their ways and eventually evolve, or they are able to pray and ask God to remove the burden, limitation, constraint, restriction and or mandate the curse represents. 

The more lifetimes we have suffered from the burdens and restrictions inherent to each specific curse, the longer we must pray. We are only able to release a few contractual limitations at a time. Repetition is once again key. 

It is easier to release a contractual limitation if the corresponding "generational curse" has already been released through God’s grace and mercy.
