Vows spoken with intensity have the potential to carry over from one lifetime to the next lifetime, from one’s past into the present and future. For example, imagine a priest taking a vow of abstinence or poverty in a past life. Although no longer a priest in this lifetime, the soul will still attempt to adhere to the vows of old and consistently curtail love, financial security and abundance in this lifetime without ever understanding why they are prohibited from succeeding in these areas. There are a myriad of different types of vows that can truly impede and restrict one’s quality of life. Many of our vows often coincide with both generational curses and contractual limitations that will remain intact until all self-limiting vows are rescinded, nullified and rendered void.
When we have perpetrated a wrong against another in the past, we may incur a karmic debt and become involved in a karmic relationship that spans lifetimes. We may be programmed to seek the injured party and attempt to repay our debts or work through the problems we encountered in the past with that soul. We may also be obligated to make a great sacrifice in order to fulfill our karmic debts. It is only through prayer and invoking God’s grace and mercy that we might diminish the burdens of the vows, karmic debts and corresponding curses each respective soul has carried into this life. Unburdening one’s soul will not only benefit you and your children but the future of your soul for lifetimes to come, certainly a worthwhile investment on behalf of one’s eternal soul.
